One App. Your Whole Home, Under Control.

Lighting, gate access, cameras and door locks, brought onto a system you can actually control from your phone — set up to work sensibly around load shedding, not fight against it.

12-Month Guarantee Same-Day Available Load-Shedding-Ready Options

Home automation earns its keep when it removes small daily friction: the porch light that turns on before you get out of the car, the gate that opens automatically as you approach, the doorbell that shows you who's there before you've left the couch. We install it as a coherent system rather than a pile of unrelated gadgets — lighting, access, and security talking to each other, controlled from one app.

Because outages are a normal part of life here, we design around them from the start: automations that don't assume the power (or the WiFi) is always on, battery-backed critical devices like locks and gate controllers, and schedules that make sense whether load shedding is on stage 2 or off entirely.

Who It's For

Where smart home installation actually pays off

New Builds & Renovations

Wiring and cabling for lighting, access control and cameras planned in before the walls close up — far cleaner and cheaper than retrofitting later.

Retrofitting Older Homes

Smart switches, plugs and locks that work with your existing wiring, no rewiring of the whole house required for most rooms.

Security Estates

Centralised control of gate access, cameras and lighting that complements estate-level security rather than working against it.

Landlords & Airbnb Hosts

Remote-controlled locks and lighting so you can manage access for guests or tenants without a physical key handover.

What's Included

What We Set Up

Smart Lighting & Switches

Schedule, dim or group lights by room, with switches that still work normally by hand if a family member prefers it that way.

Smart Plugs

Bring existing appliances and lamps onto a schedule or remote control without replacing them.

Video Doorbells & Smart Intercoms

See and speak to visitors at the gate or door from anywhere, with a recorded history of who came by.

Smart Locks

Keyless entry for the front door, granting temporary access codes for cleaners, contractors or guests without cutting a spare key.

Automated Gate & Garage Integration

Connect your gate motor and garage door into the same app used for lighting and locks (see our dedicated gate motor page for the motor installation itself).

App & Voice Control

One app to arm your evening routine — lights on, gate locked, cameras armed — with voice control where your chosen ecosystem supports it.

How It Works

Our Process

01

Walkthrough & Wish List

We talk through what's actually annoying you day to day — usually the best starting point for which automations are worth installing first.

02

System Design

We map out which devices talk to which app, what needs cabling versus what's wireless, and where a battery backup matters most.

03

Installation & Configuration

Devices installed, paired, and named sensibly (“Front Door,” not “Switch 4”), so the app makes sense from day one.

04

Handover & Training

We walk you through the app in person, set up your household's user access, and leave you with a system you actually know how to use.

FAQ

Home Automation Questions, Answered

Usually not. Most smart switches and dimmers install into your existing wall box using your current wiring — our technician confirms compatibility with your specific setup (particularly neutral-wire availability) before quoting, so there are no surprises on installation day.

Devices without battery backup will be offline during an outage, the same as any other electrical appliance. For anything security-critical — smart locks, gate controllers, key cameras — we recommend a small battery backup, which we can size and quote alongside the installation.

In many cases, yes, provided the existing equipment supports network or app connectivity. We'll assess what you already have during the walkthrough and tell you honestly what can be integrated versus what would need replacing.

Yes — we can set schedules and routines that adjust sensibly around your area's typical load shedding stage, rather than assuming constant power. Battery-backed locks continue operating on their own power regardless.

Most of our home automation installs are actually in established homes, not new builds. Wireless and low-voltage devices retrofit well into older construction — we'll tell you upfront if a particular device isn't a good fit for your home rather than force it in.
