XtraView: Different Rooms, Different Channels

XtraView links two decoders — a primary and a secondary — on a single subscription, so someone in the lounge can watch a different channel to someone in the main bedroom, at the same time, without paying for two full subscriptions. It's the right answer when the actual problem is “my family wants different things on in different rooms.”

MultiView: Multiple Channels, One Screen

MultiView is a feature of the Explora Ultra decoder that splits a single screen into up to four live channels at once, using picture-in-picture. It solves a different problem — watching more than one game or show simultaneously on one TV — rather than serving different rooms.

Choosing Between Them

If the goal is separate viewing in separate rooms, XtraView is what you actually need, and it requires cabling to the secondary decoder's location, which is where professional installation matters most. If the goal is following multiple channels on the same screen — common during overlapping sport fixtures — MultiView on a single Explora Ultra does the job without any additional decoder or cabling.
